READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING
*Independent software*. Claarify is an independently developed SPL log reader designed to import and analyze supported log files exported from Smaart. Claarify is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Rational Acoustics. Smaart is a trademark of its respective owner.
Mac and Windows. Requires macOS Sonoma 14 or later on an Intel or Apple silicon Mac, or 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 on an Intel or AMD PC.
Installing on Mac. Open the downloaded disk image and drag Claarify into Applications before launching it.
First-launch security approval. The Mac release has not been notarized by Apple. If macOS blocks it, attempt to open it, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway and confirm. Windows may also display an unknown-publisher warning. Only approve the copy downloaded through this website’s official download link.
Bring your SPL logs. Claarify analyzes recorded sound-level data. It does not measure sound through your computer’s microphone. Export your logs from your measurement software or device, then import them into Claarify.
Check your imported data. Confirm the dates, times, microphone labels, units, and measurement types before interpreting results. Available readings depend on what your original log contains.
Results depend on your measurements. Microphone calibration, placement, equipment settings, and missing data can affect the analysis. Claarify helps explain your logs; it cannot correct inaccurate recordings.
Review your targets. Check that your selected goals and custom categories suit your application before sharing reports or drawing conclusions.
Keep your original files. Retain a copy of your source logs and save your Claarify workspace so you can return to your analysis later. Updates. Choose Check for Updates in the app to check for a newer version.
